Panel Show Research

Codes and conventions of TV comedy panel shows:

• Current affairs montage title sequence, sometimes animated,
• Upbeat music, fast pace and loud soundtrack
• Contestants are sat around a panel which can easily be seen to represent two terms.
• Can hear the audience clapping and cheering before you see them. 
• Set it backlit, at least to start with, the name of the program is set behind them. 
• Camera zooms over audience to host, and then pans or cuts to contestants when introduced. 
• There are lots of cameras filming the show, and there are many different angles.
