Codes and conventions of TV comedy panel shows:
- Current affairs montage title sequence, sometimes animated,
- Upbeat music, fast pace and loud soundtrack
- Contestants are sat around a panel which can easily be seen to represent two terms.
- Can hear the audience clapping and cheering before you see them.
- Set it backlit, at least to start with, the name of the program is set behind them.
- Camera zooms over audience to host, and then pans or cuts to contestants when introduced.
- There are lots of cameras filming the show, and there are many different angles.
